Once again, on Saturday and Sunday, the paddock at the Circuit will be transformed into a dance floor, where we can enjoy a fantastic live swing band and free Lindy Hop classes and demonstrations.

 

 

Low & Slow from La Garriga and the Swing Maresme dance school will be in charge of getting us moving and delighting us with Lindy Hop classes. It will be on Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM at the dance floor of Espíritu de Montjuïc.

And as it couldn’t be otherwise, we’ll have a great live Swing band. This year, we will have Doc Scanlon’s Cool Cat Combo.

 

 

Doc Scanlon’s Cool Cat Combo plays the authentic sound of the 1920s, 30s, and 40s, always combined with a sense of joy and optimism.

Their style is influenced by New Orleans Traditional Jazz and Swing, drawing from two of the most influential musicians: Benny Goodman and Louis Armstrong.

We’ll be able to see them on Saturday and Sunday from 12:30 PM at the stage in front of the dance floor at Espíritu de Montjuïc.

Come on and bring your partner. Throughout Saturday and Sunday, you can also enjoy those popular dances of today just as they were back then, and if you feel like it, jump on the dance floor to start or perfect your moves alongside real masters!

 

Dance Floor and Stage Schedule:

  • 11:30 AM Dance floor call at the paddock
  • 12:00 PM Start of the guided class
  • 12:30 PM Start of the dance (with the live swing band)
  • 1:15 PM End of the first dance session/band break
  • 1:15 PM Start of the second guided class
  • 1:45 PM End of the second guided class
  • 1:45 PM Start of the second dance session (with the live swing band)
  • 2:30 PM End of the dance
  • 3:15 PM The swing band performs a final 45-minute set
